Facility Discharge & Biosolids Permits
Glenbard Wastewater Authority Discharges and Bio-solids re-use/disposal are regulated by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, through National Pollutant Discharge Elimination (NPDES) Permits. These permits regulate the discharge parameters for the Advance Wastewater Treatment Facility and the Combined Sewerage Overflow Facility (CSO) as well as for Biosolids Re-use/disposal.
Typically these NPDES Permits are effective for a period of five years, after which the permit regulations may change and the Authority re-issued a new permit.
